An important part of the Connect Africa vision is connecting international people to the villages around Connect Africa Ministry Centers. We have seen that the impact on both groups is amazing: the village folks get to feel loved and appreciated as westerners live and work alongside them at a Connect Africa Resource Center (CARC) for a week or so, and our visiting teams get to experience life in a village and work hands on alongside these "empowered individuals transforming communities."
Each teams itinerary is carefully planned according to the goals, skills and resources and an adventure safari can be included for a well-rounded trip.
Church groups can partner into the network of local churches linked at each CARC to provide Pastoral training, Worship conferences, outreaches, even Children's VBS. Hands-on Teams can work alongside The Connect Africa team to make and install Bio-Sand filters, build rainwater harvest tanks or another appropriate technology, take part in a technology conference and leave a lasting impact on the ground. The Hub is an ideal, easy to get to site for hosting retreats, getting people out of the pollution and rush of the cities into 20 acres of tree houses, prayer gardens, fish ponds and agro forests.
The CARCs are built with indoor flush toilets and showers, single beds with mosquito nets, and our cooking teams understand western tastes and diets. We often end things with a send off BBQ and African dancers.
Prices are $75 pp per day, includes airport transport and travel on our 30 passenger bus. Safari costs and appropriate techs are priced individually.
