THE HUB
The Connect Africa Ministries Hub is the 20 Acre base of all the regional Connect Africa Resourse Centers (CARCs) and the main office of the Connect Africa Ministries organization.
Located 20km north of Kampala in the village of Migadde just 500 meters off the main paved Gulu Highway, the Hub is an easy to get to conference-retreat center, a permaculture training site, and home for founding director Trevor Tychon and family. The Hub hosts many groups and organizations to come on a "taste and see" tour of the Appropriate Technologies Connect Africa promotes, to see in action the use of Rainwater Harvesting ISSB Tanks, BioSand Water filters and EcoSand composting toilets. The Agro-forested permaculture design site includes innovative fish farms, honey bees, pig tractors, chicken quadrant system and other technologies in sustainable village use.
The conference center allows for reasonably priced retreats and conferences of up to 80 people with accommodations for 40. The treehouse and outdoor classroom area are a favorite for retreats as well.
We love to share our technologies and ideas. Plan on coming by for a visit to see if any of these village appropriate technologies would be a fit for your project.
